SolidFire, Inc., in all-flash storage systems designed for large scale cloud infrastructure, announced that nine cloud service providers have launched new services Fueled by its storage.

Clearview International, LLC (Dallas, TX), Codero Hosting (Austin, TX), DRFortress, LLC (Honolulu, HI), GetCloudServices (Fort Pierce, FL), OnRamp (Austin TX), QuoVadis (Hamilton, BM), ServInt Corporation(Reston, VA) and Webhuset (Bergen, Norway) have launched brand new cloud and managed hosting offerings with SolidFire as their primary block storage solution. iWeb Technology, Inc. (Montreal, CA), already a SolidFire customer, has launched an additional self-service cloud offering supplementing it’s already successful OpenStack based iWeb managed cloud platform.

The all-flash, scale-out storage architecture offered by SolidFire continues to attract interest from hosting service providers globally. Native ability to manage performance and capacity independently, along with the ability to scale out to over 3.5PB and 7.5 million predictable IO/s gives hosting providers greater control and flexibility in the solutions they can offer to their customers. Providers can offer a broad range of storage services with guaranteed performance all from a single platform – delivering a predictable application experience above and beyond legacy storage technologies commonly offered.

Enterprise use of public, private and hybrid cloud resources are fast becoming one of the hallmarks of the next generation data center,” commented SolidFire CEO, Dave Wright. “Our hosting provider customers continue to see an increase in enterprises that are opting away from deploying / managing small on premise flash arrays in exchange for better economics and guaranteed performance in public clouds Fueled by SolidFire.

The explosive growth in all-flash storage arrays speaks to the demand for storage performance at the right price,” said Philbert Shih, founder and MD at Structure Research Ltd. “As flash media decreases in price, and performance becomes increasingly crucial, end users will start to look to their hosting service providers to offer all flash options. The right balance between cost, performance and capabilities is going to be a critical point of differentiation for hoster and service provider-operated clouds.

The SolidFire storage architecture coupled with the Fueled by SolidFire Program gives cloud providers the tools that allow them to deliver their solutions profitably to market faster and more effectively than before. With SolidFire in place, these service providers are well positioned to offer new services that compete with standalone SSD solutions to capture new sources of revenue and provide greater value to their growing enterprise customer base.

The following hosting service providers are rolling out new services Fueled by SolidFire to their customers: Dallas, TX based Clearview International, a managed hosting provider with a heavy focus on delivering managed solutions customized to enterprise customers, is expanding its service and solutions offerings by integrating SolidFire as a core component of its back-end storage architecture.

Our customers have been demanding the performance of flash for their important applications and now, with SolidFire, we can deliver flash appliance performance coupled with the cloud value proposition,” stated T.J. Karklins, CEO, Clearview International.

Codero Hosting, an Austin, TX based hosting provider, focuses heavily on deep integration and automation to deliver an exceptionally predictable, On-Demand, enterprise hosting experience to its customers.

The rich API available with the SolidFire system allowed us to deliver a superior QoS guarantee to our customers, and also pass through a high level of control via the Codero Server Portal,” said Chandler Vaughn, SVP of product management, Codero. “Our partnership with SolidFire allowed us to productize our cloud Block Storage offering faster and more effectively.

DRFortress, the largest carrier-neutral colocation and cloud services provider operating in Hawaii, chose SolidFire as the block storage to fuel its cloud and managed hosting business.

SolidFire’s architecture allows DRFortress to deliver top tier services ensuring clients have access to the resources they pay for. We can deliver different storage workloads from a single storage system and as our customers grow we can scale with them without pain of migrating data,” said Fred Rodi, president, DRFortress.

Billy Forte, CEO, GetCloudService,s said: “The go-to-market and positioning exercise we did with SolidFire was a unique experience that no other storage company could provide. It helped us better develop and position our block storage service offering to leverage the uniqueness of both the SolidFire and our hosted IaaS Solutions.

Canadian cloud hoster iWeb continues to build on an already rock solid cloud infrastructure by adding a new self-service cloud offering to its portfolio.

Christian Primeau, SVP and GM, iWeb, states: “The ability to manage storage capacity separate from storage performance allows iWeb to deliver unique solutions to our customers from a deeply integrated, single back-end system. We can be very efficient operationally by using SolidFire and OpenStack and we are passing those cost savings on to our customers.

SolidFire’s all flash array allows us to continue to deliver best in class enterprise solutions to our customers,” said John Thurik, chief architect, OnRamp, a data center provider specializing in high security managed hosting solutions for HIPAA and PCI compliance. “The flexibility of the system will allow us to react quickly to address future customer needs.

QuoVadis, an IaaS providers in Bermuda, uses SolidFire to deliver customized production cloud services to its customers.

QuoVadis’ high performance compute platform was a perfect match for SolidFire’s all-flash architecture,” said Gavin Dent, CEO, QuoVadis.

ServInt, a specialist in VPS cloud hosting, has long offered managed and self-service cloud solutions to its customers. Now, with its new SolidFire SSD VPS platform, ServInt is once again revolutionizing the virtualized hosting industry.

Reed Caldwell, ServInt CEO, explains: “Lots of hosting companies offer SSD storage systems, but ServInt is the only cloud hosting service provider that offers SSD with real, measurable I/O performance guarantees. Without these guarantees, customers have no way of knowing that the speed they’ve been promised is the speed they’re going to get. With our SolidFire SSD VPS platform, that’s an issue our customers won’t have to face.

Erik Windahl Olsen, CEO, Webhuset based in Bergen, Norway, said: “We wanted to be able to deliver a predictable hosting experience to our customers with the ability to run multiple tiers of performance and SolidFire allowed us to achieve this cost effectively.
