Veeam Not First to Support vSphere 5.5 and Microsoft Server 2012 R2
Claims NovaStor.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 2, 2013 at 2:31 pmExactly two weeks have passed since NovaStor GmbH‘s announcement releasing NovaBACKUP version 15.
This release, dated earlier than Veeam’s latest v7 update, already included support for vSphere 5.5 and Microsoft Server 2012 R2. Veeam’s recent announcement that they were first to market is just not accurate and has had a negative impact on the momentum at NovaStor at the height of their most successful product release in history.
“NovaStor was forced to correct this announcement in response to the flurry of calls into our support group questioning the validity of our product’s system requirements page,” says Mike Andrews, MD, NovaStor. “We pride ourselves on supporting the latest technologies and cannot allow misleading information to place our customer loyalty into question. It is also not fair to risk having the hard work, achievements and dedication of our product and engineering teams go unrecognized.”
