Avant Technology Exhibits 2TB Enterprise SSD

Avant Technology, Inc. was sponsor of the LSI Accelerating Innovation Summit 2013.

Avant was exhibiting a range of storage solutions – from a 2TB enterprise SSD to a USB 3.0 flash drive capable of up to 450/445MBs R/W speeds.

Visitors to the Avant booth also saw a host of SSDs featuring the LSI SandForce SF3700 flash controller family – including a 7mm drive and half-height/half-length PCIe 3 drive.

The new SF3700 architecture increases performance, reliability, endurance, and security when compared to current controllers. The adaptable architecture enables multiples applications and the standard NAND flash offers performance even as the drive ages.

Avant expects to ship products featuring the SandForce SF3700 flash controller during the first half of 2014.

The Accelerating Innovation Summit took place in San Jose, CA, November 20th and 21st.
