Nakivo Alpha Program for Enteprises Backup & Replication V3.9
Featuring multi-tenancy for ESXi backup
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 20, 2013 at 2:34 pmNAKIVO Inc. has launched an Alpha program for NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9.
The program provides an early access to the upcoming enterprise edition featuring multi-tenancy and self-service.
With multi-tenancy, enterprises can protect multiple business units through a single interface while each business unit will only have access to their own data through a self-service interface. Managed services, cloud, and hosting providers can leverage multi-tenancy and self-service features to extend their services to Backup-as-a-Service, Replication-as-a-Service, DRaaS, and BC-as-a-Service. In addition, cloud providers can license on the per-VM monthly rental basis.
Built for virtualization, it offers a data protection feature set for virtualized environments, including local and offsite VM backup and replication, support for live applications and databases (Microsoft AD, Exchange, SQL, Oracle, etc.), granular recovery, network acceleration, global data dedupe, Web UI, AES-256 encryption, advanced reporting, and vCloud Director support.
“With the launch of NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9 Alpha, we are enabling our cloud service provider partners to test the industry’s first VM backup and replication multi-tenant solution,” said Bruce Talley, CEO and co-founder, NAKIVO. “In addition to the enhanced management control and time saving value of multi-tenancy, v3.9 also enables cloud provider to delegate self-service management rights to tenants including view only access and complete control of only their VM protection policies and environment.”
“As a cloud service provider, we anticipate that NAKIVO’s multi-tenancy along with self-service, will improve our operational efficiency and customer response time,” said Primoz Lah, CTO, RvO. “We view NAKIVO as an innovation leader for cloud service providers delivering Backup-as-a-Service, Replication-as-a-Service, DRaaS, and BC-as-a-Service.“
