Intronis Fall 2013 Software Available
Company also reports sales and storage growth above expectations.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 14, 2013 at 3:55 pmIntronis, Inc. announced that its Fall ’13 Release is available to channel partners worldwide.
Additionally, it is on track to exceed annual sales growth expectations by double digits, and the volume of storage being managed by its channel partners has grown year over year.
The new Fall ’13 Release enables channel partners to easily scale their recovery-as-a-service offerings and introduces support for clustered environments. These improvements make it possible for channel partners to backup, restore and manage VM host clusters under one storage solution.
Additional feature enhancements include:
- Expanded VMware backup and recovery capabilities, allowing for faster backups and user-defined unique destination hosts for multiple VMs within a single backup set.
- The ability to create and update recovery VMs that reside on a host in a cluster.
- An improved user interface that features a redesigned tree hierarchy to easily display large folders and create or restore backup sets in minutes.
- Advancements to the partner web portal, as well as the usability, functionality, and reliability of the solution.
“These new features and functionality introduced in our Fall ’13 Release complete our imaging solution for VMs and enable our channel partners to capitalize on the increasing market demand for cloud-based storage by delivering a more robust backup and recovery service to their customers that also provides total local availability,” says Chuck DeLouis, VP, product management, Intronis.
Over the last three years Intronis has seen the average storage usage for its channel partners grow by 540%. The year-over-year storage growth signals an increasing demand for cloud-based storage solutions worldwide, and a raised awareness among Intronis’ channel partners regarding the importance of including backup and recovery as part of the total managed IT solution.
“We’ve seen record growth over the last three quarters within our business and attribute this success to the hard work of our partners and associates, as well as the recent innovations in our technology including QuickSpin for local availability and our VMware clustering support,” says Intronis CEO Rick Faulk. “Together with our partners, we are addressing the market’s growing need for an advanced, business-minded, cloud-based backup and recovery solution that will do exactly what it’s supposed to do – protect, store and recover a business’ data anytime, anywhere.”
Additional growth catalysts leading to strong performance include the company’s channel-friendly, white-labeled sales strategy for its BDR solution, which enables VARs and MSPs to brand solution as their own, and its targeted approach to SMB and vertical markets. Growing market penetration within the healthcare vertical specifically is due in part to its Business Associates’ agreement, which works to ensure that Intronis’ channel partners meet HIPAA compliance mandates. Intronis is also seeing success within other data-heavy verticals such as finance and legal.
“Intronis is 100% committed to growing its business by helping us grow ours,” says Michael Andrea, principal, Parallel Edge, Inc., an MSP in Wayne, PA. “We’ve seen continued growth in our business since working with Intronis and attribute one of our biggest deals in 2013 and a new growth market in 2014 to Intronis’ sales team. We wouldn’t be in the finance vertical if it wasn’t for Intronis bringing the opportunity to our doorstep.”
Earlier this year the company ranked #46 on the third-annual Talkin’ Cloud Top 100, which identifies the IT channel’s top 100 CSPs based on metrics such as annual cloud services revenue growth, both in actual dollars and inpercentage growth rates. Intronis also earned a number of industry awards in 2013, including being voted one of the best BDR vendors in this year’s ChannelPro-SMB Readers’ Choice survey and being named one of the Top 20 Coolest Cloud Storage Vendors by CRN Magazine.
