Spanning Cloud Apps Joins EMC Select Partner Program
For its backup solution for Google Apps

The partner program enables EMC’s customers to acquire pretested, third-party solutions, and extends Spanning Backup’s reach as an enterprise solution. The solution on the Google Apps marketplace, Spanning Backup, is a data protection product that provides full data recovery for the core Google Apps components.

Participation in the EMC Select Partner Program allows us to extend our market reach with a stronger focus on enterprise customers,” said Jeff Erramouspe, chief revenue officer, Spanning.
In addition to joining the partner program, the company continues to gain momentum, having more than tripled the number of paid seats installed since the beginning of the year. Additionally, Netflix, Inc., Jawbone, Redfin Corporation, Pivotal Software, Inc. and Bartle Bogle Hegarty have joined the customer roster in recent months.

In March of 2013, Spanning joined forces with EMC in a co-marketing agreement that includes co-promoting Spanning and EMC’s Mozy technology to offer businesses new backup and recovery solutions. Most recently, Spanning launched their Spanning Backup Summer ’13 Release offering new features to further empower large organizations to protect, manage and repair the Google Apps data of their vast and dynamic user bases. With announcement, Spanning builds upon its relationship with EMC and enhances its market reach by joining the EMC Select Partner Program.

Since its founding in 2010, Spanning has helped thousands of business customers and tens of thousands of users backup and restore their business-critical data. Spanning provides backup and recovery of the complete Google Apps suite, including Gmail, drive, sites, calendar and contacts. It also provides monitoring of backup, allowing administrators to correct issues before they become problems.
