Canadian Cloud Backup Introduces Wholesale and While Label Offsite Backup
Aimed at IT shops, MSPs, software vendors, EMR/EHR, and ISPs
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 6, 2013 at 2:57 pmCanadian Cloud Backup has launched Canada’s first wholesale and white label offsite backup and storage aimed at IT shops, MSPs, software vendors, EMR/EHR, and ISPs across Canada, giving them the ability to resell the service as their own.
It not only gives professionals a Canadian solution, but may also give them a head start on controversial future law changes:
“The Canadian data laws (PIPEDA)[1] are always changing. The trends we observe show us that there is a high probability that eventually all Canadian medical, financial, and personal data will be required to stay in Canada, and to not be stored in foreign data centers where the data falls into the foreign government’s jurisdiction.” Says Chris Medeiros, COO, Canadian Cloud Backup. “It has been very important to us from the beginning to be able to offer the market a truly Canadian alternative, we’re happy to announce that all of our customers data is 100% stored in Canada.”
IDC released a study, titled Online Backup Services Forecast 2007-2011: A New Market Emerges, which predicts the market will reach $715 million by 2011, and $50 billion by 2014
“We are poised for growth and ready for whatever the future might bring. It’s an amazing time to be a technology company in Canada; we have some very bright minds here and it’s very exciting to see what will happen next,” said Medeiros.
