Existing investor The Cedar Fund is joined by venture firms Accel Partners, with partner Ping Li, who is on the board of storage start-up Nimble Storage (which just filed to go public) participating; Battery Ventures; Pelion Venture Partners, which funded Fusion-io and Riverbed Networks; Lightspeed Venture Partners; and Wing Venture Partners, backed by former Accel partner Peter Wagner, who is also an investor in networking startup Cumulus Networks. A host of angel investors with start credentials include Jeff Rothschild, founder of storage software firm Veritas (which was bought by Symantec), now with Facebook, and whom Flynn describes as “the father of the Facebook engineering team”; Kai Li, founder of the storage software maker Data Domain which was bought by EMC in 2009); Diane Greene, who founded VMware, and Jayshree Ullal, CEO of networking start-up Arista Networks.
