StorageCraft Presents ShadowProtect IT Edition Pro

StorageCraft Technology Corporation released ShadowProtect IT Edition PRO, which provides IT professionals unlimited DR, data protection and system migration for Windows systems in their environment without installing any software.

Among the features is the inclusion of the granular recovery for Exchange, allowing recovery of email messages and entire mailboxes from Exchange Database files. This feature also allows searches based on user-specified criteria.

“IT Edition has been used by our partners for years as a quick, efficient solution for creating hot server backups, performing migrations to new hardware or moving physical systems to virtual platforms,” said Matt Urmston, StorageCraft’s chief evangelist and director of product management. “The merging of these two great products, ShadowProtect IT Edition and StorageCraft Granular Recovery for Exchange, makes ShadowProtect IT Edition PRO a must have utility for the Systems Integrator, MSP or VAR.”

Another aspect is the disk copy feature that allows administrators to make a duplicate of a disk. This feature can capture everything on a volume or disk without the need for a backup image file.

One of the components, Granular Recovery for Exchange 7, was released in April 2013. The software won Best of TechEd 2013 award in the Messaging and Unified Communication category at the Microsoft TechEd North America 2013 IT Pro Conference. In addition, ShadowProtect Desktop received its third consecutive Editors’ Choice Award for Backup Software from PC Magazine in September.
