StorageCraft and Advanced Backup Solutions Join Forces

One-stop shopping for backup and DR solutions just got a boost with a partnership between StorageCraft Technology Corporation and Advanced Backup Solutions (ABS).

The agreement incorporates the ABS Enterprise data protection and DR platform with the speed and reliability of the StorageCraft ShadowProtect software.

With this agreement, ABS has integrated ShadowProtect software into its line of Backup and DR (BDR) Appliances and offsite DR infrastructure. ABS Enterprise offers MSPs an enterprise BDR solution with integrated onsite/offsite backup and restore, plus virtual failover for true BC.

The licensed StorageCraft technology enables local recovery and offsite replication of data providing protection for a single server or entire IT infrastructure.

Powered by ShadowProtect software, ABS has set a new standard with its offsite DR product offering, designed for MSPs serving SMBs. The lineup includes per incidence services allowing recovery points to be virtualized and hosted, but goes further with HA solutions including a hybrid firewall and dedicated compute node for instant offsite DR.

ABS has licensed the following ShadowProtect software: ShadowProtect Server, ShadowProtect Small Business Server and ShadowProtect Desktop, as well as the recent ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7.

In September, ShadowProtect Desktop received its third consecutive Editors’ Choice Award for Backup Software from PC Magazine, and ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange won the Best of TechEd 2013 award in the Messaging and Unified Communication category in June.
