HDS Expands Solutions for SAP HANA

Hitachi Data Systems Corporation announced its expansion of Hitachi solutions for SAP software.

The enhanced portfolio includes solutions designed to optimize the performance, BC, data protection, and scalability of SAP software-enabled platforms.

Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (UCP) for HANA, version for SAP Business Suite software powered by HANA: Customers making the transition to SAP Business Suite powered by HANA can now run ERP, CRM and SCM workloads on a converged platform optimized for workload-specific performance, reliability, and support for DR. The UCP is certified by SAP to run HANA, version for SAP Business Suite. Available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB editions, it enables deployment of SAP Business Suite running on HANA.
UCP for HANA with Hitachi TrueCopy synchronous replication for DR for SAP HANA: Hitachi offers Hitachi TrueCopy, a continuous, nondisruptive, host-independent remote data replication solution for persistent storage data protection of HANA. It’s mission-critical environments running the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW) application on HANA that depend on second site failover to maintain data availability in HANA.
HANA Enterprise cloud hosted on Hitachi converged infrastructure: Hitachi offers a private cloud hosting service for SAP Business Suite software, which includes custom and out-of-the box applications based on HANA, and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse software for a single instance of the HANA platform. Based on Hitachi UCP for HANA, this service offers customers another way to deploy HANA.
Hitachi storage product line integration with SAP NetWeaver Landscape Virtualization Management 2.0 software, enterprise edition: Hitachi Storage Adapter allows customers to integrate Hitachi storage systems with SAP NetWeaver Landscape Virtualization Management and benefit from key features such as clone, copy and refresh of SAP systems running on Hitachi storage.
Hitachi UCP for HANA supported by Symantec NetBackup: Customers are able to add further protection for the HANA database with Hitachi UCP for HANA supported by NetBackup. This new solution helps protect customers against data loss that is due to disk failures or database corruption.
Hitachi Reference Architecture for Apache Hadoop big data Infrastructure based on Cloudera Hadoop Distribution: Customers with HANA who are seeking additional business value from their corporate data can center their Hadoop strategy around a Hitachi reference architecture based on Hitachi x86 rack servers and the Cloudera Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). These customers can deploy a tailored big data solution with specific guidelines based on Hitachi engineering test methodologies with predictable and reliable results.
Hitachi Reference Architecture for deploying SAP ERP in a 3-tier environment using vSphere 5.1, Hitachi x86 blade servers and Hitachi Unified Storage VM: Hitachi provides guidelines for the deployment of the SAP ERP application with the flexibility to leverage compute and storage resources with the incorporation of vSphere for both production environments and non-production environments.

oXya Corporation: oXya, a hosting provider for SAP applications has deployed customer instances of SAP software on Hitachi UCP Pro for vSphere. It manages the intricacies of 24/7 mission-critical operations in SAP software environments for over 230 hosted enterprise customers and 190,000 users.
