Dr. Edward H. Frank Board’s Director, Fusion-io

Recently retired as VP, Macintosh Hardware Systems Engineering, Apple

Fusion-io, Inc. announced that its board of directors has appointed Dr. Edward H. Frank, 56, to the board of directors, effective October 21, 2013.

He recently retired as VP of Macintosh Hardware Systems Engineering at Apple, Inc.

He holds over 50 U.S. patents and is a life trustee of Carnegie Mellon University.

Frank was formerly VP of R&D at Broadcom, where he was responsible for Broadcom’s overall engineering execution and played a key role in corporate business and IP strategy. He also held positions at Sun Microsystems and was a founder of Epigram, Inc. which was acquired by Broadcom, and co-founder of NeTpower, Inc.

He holds B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
