European Revenue of Scale Computing Up 86% Last Year

Averaged Q/Q global revenue growth of 45% since Q1 2011

Scale Computing, Inc. announced its revenue has grown 86% and its number of customers has increased by 45% in Europe in the last year.

It has also doubled its roster of channel partners in the past year alone.

Since Q1 2011, it has averaged quarter on quarter revenue growth of 45%  globally, making Europe its fastest growing region outside of the US.

Scale Computing breaks down the costly and complex IT infrastructure in SMBs by delivering a hyperconverged platform designed for virtualisation. In Europe, it Safran Power UK, Breedon Agreegates England Ltd., Stoke Park School, Weston Homes Plc and Merida Bicycles to its client list in the last year.

Leonard Powers, IT and engineering infrastructure manager, Safran Power UK, said: “Our existing infrastructure was ageing, and as we grew, the subsequent costs spiraled out of the control. Our business didn’t know where we would be in a year’s time let alone five years. We needed something expandable that wasn’t prohibitively expensive. An integrated platform that was easy to use, scalable and highly available was what we needed, and Scale Computing’s HCcubed delivered it at an affordable cost.”

Since the launch of HCcubed a year ago, Scale Computing has been accelerating growth of its hyperconverged platform, designed for virtualisation.

The major IT vendors have a broadly held assumption that small and medium firms have no options and must pay through the nose for features they don’t need,” says Patrick Conte, EVP and GM, WW field operations, Scale Computing. “As our growth has shown this simply isn’t the case, in fact, SMEs have been ignored when it comes to obtaining the features they require without the expensive price tag. Today, SMEs are driving the economy and require highly available, scalable and flexible IT at a low price. HCcubed delivers this and more.”

At VMworld 2013, Scale Computing announced SCRIBE, a storage architecture designed to enable SMEs to manage storage more efficiently, and with ease of use. It aims to make the journey to realising the benefits of virtualisation easier for SMEs
