Akitio Develops Bus-Powered 512GB SSD Thunderbolt

Akitio USA has received certification on the first 512GB, fully bus-powered Thunderbolt storage solution.

In addition to the company’s line of storage solutions, the 512GB model complements the series and is able to reach read speeds of 520Gb/s on bus power.

The company has developed its own low power, high capacity and high performance SSD’s that can be used in portable storage products, such as the Akitio Neutrino Thunderbolt Edition. The 512GB model with a pre-installed SSD is available with an MSRP of $599. The Akitio Thunderbolt series is available at Akitio.com, Amazon.com and several online and retail outlets across the world.
