Novosoft Brings IBM Lotus Backup to Handy Backup

Novosoft LLC has launched IBM Lotus Notes/Domino backup functionality for their product Handy Backup.

The solution provides a way to automatically backup the Lotus database or any of its components.

“To backup IBM Lotus Notes with Handy Backup, you only need to select the respective item in the task wizard, and the program will automatically locate all available Lotus Notes data. You can perform either full backup of all Lotus Notes files or selective backup of specific file categories such as contacts, logs, journal entries, e-mail messages, or other database components,” said Aleksey Dolgushev, head of Handy Backup business development department.

It provides support of Lotus Notes version 6.5 and higher. The Lotus Notes backup functionality of the software includes a smart scheduler which allows setting up the program only once to run backup and recovery tasks automatically on a minute to monthly basis. All backups could be encrypted and transferred through secure protocols to prevent unauthorized access to data.

Backup features are included in server editions of Handy Backup (Small Server and Server Network) and can be added to any other edition through a purchase of a respective plug-in. The plug-in will be available in version 7.4.4.
