macle’s HP Proliant DL380e

Open-E, Inc. and partner macle GmbH announced that the HP Proliant DL380e – Gen8 storage system 687567-DSS is now an Open-E Certified Storage Server.

The performance storage solution is available in macle’s product portfolio as the first solution certified by Open-E.

The HP Proliant DL380e – Gen8 storage system 687567-DSS provides dual 10GB Ethernet, 866 MB/s high speed and runs on Open-E’s storage software V7. In Open-E’s certification tests the storage system proved for performance and data safety in a hardware RAID-5, or RAID-50 setup. Additionally, flexibility and a fast MPIO connection are possible through four 1GbE and two 10GbE interfaces. The reliability of the server is provided thanks to a redundant power supply.

Open-E recommends the system for iSCSI Storage, NAS filer and virtualized storage.
