New Drives for IBM System Storage N From NetApp

1.2TB SAS, 4TB Nearline SAS HDDs, 900GB self-encrypting drive

The following features are available on selected IBM System Storage N series machines.

New disk capacities

  • 1.2 TB SAS disk for N3150 and N3220
  • 4TB Nearline SAS disk for N3150 and N3240
  • 900GB self-encrypting drive (SED) for N3150, N3220, and EXN3500

Updated Flash Cache II capacities
512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB Flash Cache II adapters are available on midrange and enterprise N series systems.

Optical SAS cables
These cables provide long-distance attachment capability for the EXN3000, EXN3200, and EXN3500. These distances enable SAS-attached shelves to be used in Stretch MetroCluster environments.

These features require a supported N series machine.
