Higher Capacity for Storwize V7000 and SVC

An 800GB 6GB SAS 2.5-inch SSD is available for IBM Storwize V7000 and IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC).

This dual-port and hot-swappable drive offers a higher capacity option for high-performance environments.

SAS cables for Storwize V7000 expansion enclosure attachment to Flex System V7000 are also available. Three-meter and six-meter SAS cables for use with Flex System V7000 can be ordered with Storwize V7000 expansion enclosures.

Additionally, Storwize V7000 and SVC functional capabilities are enhanced with the availability of Storwize Family Software version 7.2. It delivers replication over IP networks and improved performance for real-time compression.

Storwize V7000 requires Storwize Family Software for Storwize V7000 for operation. Version 6.4.1, or later, is required for the 800GB SSD.

SVC requires Storwize Family Software for SVC for operation. Version 6.4.1, or later, is required for the 800GB SSD.
