Intermedia Adds Legally Compliant Email Archiving

Intermedia, Inc., a one-stop shop for cloud IT services and business applications, enhanced its Office in the Cloud suite of services in EMEA with legally compliant email archiving.

This service helps businesses cope with two growing challenges: the continually rising volume of email coupled with the growing set of industry regulations and legal risks compelling businesses to retain communications in perpetuity.

Intermedia’s cloud-based Email Archiving service provides the solution for protecting the institutional knowledge contained in an organization’s email. By integrating email storage, security and recovery features, Email Archiving alleviates pressures on business and IT leaders to preserve IP, simplify legal e-discovery, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements including those set out, for example, by the UK’s FCA, PRA and legislation such as the Data Protection Act of 1998.

Archived email is accessed and managed using Intermedia’s HostPilot control panel. It empowers administrators with all of the control they’d expect from an on-premise deployment. For example, they can sync Intermedia’s cloud services with their on-premise Active Directory. In addition, VARs, MSPs and other partners use HostPilot to design, customize and deploy their own private-labeled cloud offerings.

Email Archiving for EMEA builds upon Intermedia’s recent acquisition of UK identity and access management vendor, SaaSID. In addition to strengthening Intermedia’s commitment to protecting EMEA customers data, Intermedia now provides all of its customers with a single point of control over their employees’ access to cloud services and applications and minimizes the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data.
