Newrun Reselling Sentinel Navigator

SAN Sentinel SAS, publisher of Sentinel Navigator, a Cloud/SaaS software to manage storage infrastructures for EMC, IBM, HP and Netapp arrays, signed a partnership agreement with Newrun SARL, a service company in architecture, design, implementation and rollout of SAN-NAS solutions.

In order to reduce the costs and resources required to accomplish services for its customers, Newrun has decided to use Sentinel Navigator to automate a few repetitive tasks which used to be carried out manually.

SAN Sentinel allows the consultants to benefit from the reliable and updated information they need to deliver their expertise without investing in long and expensive trainings.

Thanks to this agreement, Newrun allows its customers to enjoy audit services for their storage infrastructures at lower cost. The services are delivered in SaaS mode, hosted either in the cloud, which doesn’t require any specific installation, or in locally accessible private cloud, without any agent to install.

The analysis of storage arrays, switches and the inventories of the servers connected to storage are available within a few minutes, through an administration console.

Additionally Newrun provides a service to identify the elements that compose the infrastructure. This allows the use, within a few days, of the categorization, correlation and logging features that exist in Sentinel Navigator. These features provide dynamic information concerning the detailed use of storage resources by office, application, physical/virtual servers, etc.

The services are available in SaaS mode without requiring specific installation. This reduces administration costs and replaces the less viable and trivial daily tasks which consist in trying to obtain array information by writing ‘home-made’ scripts, then by transferring the results manually to combine them with the help of spread sheets, a much more costly and unreliable method.
