To power custom cloud solutions

Latisys, LLC, national provider of
hybrid cloud hosting and data center solutions, announced an
expansion to the hosting services agreement with Integrated Data Storage, LLC
(IDS), data center technology integrator and cloud services
provider based in Chicago.
IDS works with a distinctive list of manufacturers to deliver custom IT
solutions to businesses. IDS helps architect and deploy public, private, and
hybrid cloud solutions that make customer IT operations run more efficiently –
creating new opportunities for businesses to grow and improve speed to market.
Under terms of the multi-year agreement, IDS, a Crain’s Chicago Business Fast Fifty growth company, has expanded their
footprint in Latisys’ Chicago and Denver data centers. From here IDS will
leverage Latisys’ high-density hosting services to underpin its expanding
cloud solutions platform.
"The cloud has been the fastest
growing part of our business and one of the most strategic decisions we had to
make was choosing our data center partner," said Justin Mescher, CTO, IDS. "Latisys is one of the few
service providers that offer enterprise hosting facilities, while still being
nimble enough to support a rapidly-growing business like IDS. That agility is
what makes Latisys the perfect partner for IDS, because like us they understand
how critical it is to provide solutions that are tailored to customer
requirements and flexible enough to change as requirements evolve."
Latisys’ Chicago data center serves as the Midwest hub of Latisys’ nationwide
footprint, which also features Denver as a DR site, and Southern California and
Northern Virginia as gateways to APAC and Europe. Latisys completed
construction on an additional 10,000 square feet of high-density space in its
Oak Brook, IL data center, a high demand area in Chicago’s western suburbs.
"Both Latisys and IDS share a
passion for IT infrastructure-as-a-service and the business benefits that can
be achieved for customers that choose to outsource," said Pete
Stevenson, CEO, Latisys. "We are
pleased to provide IDS with the flexibility, scalability, reliability and
unified customer care support accelerating growth – now and in the future."
Latisys’ data center platform is operated under SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 audited
controls. This replaces the SAS 70 guidebook and reaffirms Latisys’ commitment
to meet the standards for availability and security, while making sure
all of the appropriate controls and safeguards are in place.
With high-density data centers located in every US time zone, Latisys’s national
reach enables multi-site redundancy, managed backup and secure DR including
cloud-based DR solutions. Latisys’ Tier III facilities are designed for the BC
of mission-critical operations – offering the power, cooling, backbone network
and managed services with an eye toward reducing capital expenditures for
storage and ongoing maintenance. Latisys’ total data center platform exceeds
343,000 square feet across seven data centers in four major markets.
