John Higgs AsiaPac SVP and GM, Violin Memory

Previously responsible for establishing and growing revenue and operations across APAC for Riverbed Technologies, he will lead sales and operations in AsiaPac for Violin Memory.
"The storage industry is on a tremendous growth path as global companies are rapidly integrating and benefiting from flash memory systems," said Higgs. "Violin Memory holds a strong presence in the region and my goal is to accelerate the new client base and cultivate current relationships in the APAC market."
Higgs has more than three decades of experience in the networking industry and has worked exclusively in Asia for 27 years, holding positions in Japan and Singapore. Prior to joining Violin Memory, he served as SVP of AsiaPac and Japan at Riverbed Technologies where he increased revenues and accelerated operations across the region for more than eight years. Before that, he built Cisco’s sales and operations in South Asia. He also established Cray Communications in Japan in 1988, then Cabletron Systems in Asia in 1992.
