X3-NAS-Open-e Server With Dual 8Gb FC and 10GbE From Ronver Systems

RONVER Systems introduced its
X3-NAS-Open-E Storage Server with dual 8Gb FC and 10GbE.

The server system provides the highest bandwidth and lowest
latency and is certified by Open-E, Inc., developer of IP-based storage
management software.

As with its previous versions, it includes several features and
improvements. The latest generation Xeon E5-26xx processor
offer up to 72% higher performance and certified DDR3 ECC
Registered RAM ensures reliable operation of the server. These
features will help both experts and non-experts to benefit from the
capabilities of the storage server.

Components from manufacturers like Intel, QLogic and Areca were
used in this server. It provides six PCle 3.0 slots which allows
expansion options including four 1GbE network ports. Extensions with
up to 5 RAID controllers or additional 4/8/16Gb FC, 1, 10 and 40GbE
or IB HBA’s are possible. The Areca RAID Controller has an
extern 6Gb SAS port that allows expansion with up to 256 HDDs: =
1PB.

Sixteen drives with SAS/SATA interface can be accommodated in
the chassis but the range also includes a 36-bay chassis and a 45-bay
JBOD extension. At request the server can be expanded with a SAS
add-in card for connectivity to LTO tape drives and libraries.

This system, available, is suited for SMBs implementation and starts at
13.700€ for 64TB.
