1.5TB HGST 2.5-Inch Travelstar Into Eurocom Portable PC

Eurocom Corporation has added the 1.5TB HGST‘s Travelstar 5k1500 SATA 6 Gb/s HDD, the largest 2.5", 9.5 mm thin mobile storage drive, to the 11.6" Monster Ultraportable Notebook to meet customers demand for large storage capacity and high performance.

"The Monster is a small form factor ultra-portable notebook capable of running multiple VMs and multiple OSs with up to 16GB memory and 1.5TB storage while weighing under 4 lbs and having a battery that lasts over 400 minutes," said Mark Bialic, Eurocom president.

1.5TB, 6Gb SATA mobile HDDs are for use within the Monster where user’s demand increasingly large storage capacity and speed.

"The EUROCOM Monster is like we stuffed a High Performance Notebook into a Netbook form factor, it always had the performance and now it can be customized with a massive amount of high capacity 1.5 TB, high speed 6GB SATA storage, in other words, the Monster is the perfect system for enterprise users running multiple VMs that require a small package and extremely easy mobility," added Bialic.

The Monster is a customizable notebook with the ability for the customer to choose a variety of processors, storage drives, displays, memory capacities, warranties, OSs. At Eurocom, customers get what they want and the in the future have the ability to upgrade their system because Eurocom continues to offer upgrade service for past models.

Travelstar 5K1500 drives ship with a 32MB cache buffer and a 0.5 watt low power idle, which offers performance, energy efficient operation for longer battery life in the Monster. It offers operating shock of 400G/2ms to protect against drops and bumps while on the go, in the toughest environments. A dual stage actuator is also included for track miss registration improvements for data integrity and reliability.

At the core of the Monster 1.0, users have an NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M to do their bidding, with 2GB of video memory, 384 cores, with the graphics clock running at 850MHz this new graphics powerhouse is the ultimate mobile gaming and professional machine, all in a super small and portable form factor. With Optimus support, the EOCOM Monster can run for up to 410 minutes on one charge.
