Acronis International GmbH announced vmProtect 9, a vSphere backup solution for SMBs and remote branch offices of large enterprises.

With added support for SQL Server, SharePoint and Microsoft Active Directory, vmProtect is a solution capable of recovering data at different levels: hypervisor, VM and application.
 
vmProtect solution combines dozens of  technologies packaged in an easy to use product that installs in less than three minutes. vmProtect’s accessible Web user interface is optimised for smaller vSphere environments with a dozen VMs and equipped to support 100’s of VMs. Unlike complex products with many features designed for large deployment sizes, vmProtect is focused on maintaining cost-effectiveness and ease of use to meet enterprise-grade needs of SMBs as well as remote and branch offices.
 
vmProtect 9 Features:

• Recognises file systems, skips unnecessary files and incrementally restores VMs at top speeds with vmFlashBack;
• Runs VMs straight from a compressed and de-duplicated image;
• Incorporates multi-destination backup, which copies backups to an additional location, locally or to the cloud;
• Includes self-backup with the ability to save and restore its configurations;
• Integrates with VMware vCenter thus backup, recovery and replication operations can be managed directly from vCenter; and
• Is designed for online purchase.
