Box Launches Doubles Free Plan Capability to 10GB
And $5 for 100GB for businesses

Box Inc.
is doubling its Personal
offering to include 10GB of free storage and launching a Starter
plan for small businesses that offers 100GB for $5/user.
These plans make it easier for
businesses of all sizes to move their content to the cloud.

global corporation, a small business, or a freelancer, the key to
competing is being able to securely share, manage and access your
content anywhere, on any device. These new plans make the cloud more
accessible than ever before."
More than 20 million individuals and
180,000 businesses use the service to share and manage their content
in the cloud, with Box users at 97% of the Fortune 500. The company
grew sales more than 150% in its most recent fiscal year (FY2013) and
is on pace to more than double sales again in the current year
(FY2014). It was also named the leader by both Forrester Research
and Gartner, Inc. for file sync and sharing.
New Plans
The changes offer features and
capabilities designed to fit the needs of any individual or
organization:
- Personal (Free): Expanded 10GB
of free storage for Personal accounts.
- Starter ($5/month): 100GB of
pooled storage and a 2GB file size limit for SMBs and small teams of
up to 10 users get started on Box.
- Business ($15/user/month): 1TB of storage and a 5GB file size limit, as well as one premium
enterprise application integration (such as Active Directory or
Salesforce.com), basic admin console functions, and device pinning
for security.
- Enterprise ($35/user/month):
Unlimited storage and a 5GB file size limit, unlimited external
collaborators and enterprise application integrations, full group
Active Directory support, access to the admin console, security
reporting and content management services, and the Box content API
(for 3 custom apps).
- Elite (price available on request):
Includes the features of the Enterprise plan, as well as the highest
level of Box support, a free test environment, and unlimited use of
the Box Content API for custom internal apps.
BoxWorks 2013
The company’s third annual conference
will take place on September 15-17th 2013 at the Hilton Union Square
in San Francisco, CA. The two-day industry event features updates and
