Jeffrey McCreary Interim President and CEO, IDT

Replacing momentarily Ted Tewksbury who resigned

Integrated Device Technology, Inc. announced that Dr. Ted Tewksbury has resigned as president, CEO and board member, effective August 27, 2013.

The board of directors has appointed board member Jeffrey S. McCreary as interim president and CEO.

The board has formed a search committee to identify and consider candidates for the permanent president and CEO role.

As interim president and CEO, he will work closely with current executive team and board of directors to oversee the company’s ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.

He has served on IDT’s board since June of 2012.

mccreary_idt McCreary is a former SVP at Texas Instruments, where he was the manager of worldwide sales and marketing, from 1998 through 2005, directing the global sales organization. He held a variety of other executives position within Texas Instruments, including GM of advanced logic products and GM of WW military semiconductors group.

He has been an independent management consultant since 2006 and has been a member of the board of directors for companies including, Gennum Corporation, MIPS Technologies, Inc. and Isola Group.  
 
His book, Creating the I in Team, was published in 2007. He is also currently working as a special consultant to the National Hockey League Coaches Association.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and received an honorary doctorate in engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2004. He is a long-time member of the Board of Trustees of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

He continued: "As we begin the CEO search, we are fortunate to have Jeffrey McCreary available to serve in the interim role. Jeff possesses a proven track record as a semiconductor industry executive and has spent significant time making vital decisions in the boardroom as well. We are confident he will provide essential leadership for the company for as long as required."

"We are on a path to reach our previously stated financial targets and to continue leveraging our proven strengths in timing solutions, memory interface, RF, serial switching and power management with great new products."
