Thecus One Press USB Copy Feature

Plug-and-press to backup USB flash key on NAS

USB is the most widespread computing connection option present in today’s systems and has become the standard for almost all communication between computers and external hardware devices.

USB flash drives are often used for storage, backups, and transferring files between devices. But when it came to NAS systems, USB data transfers are often a complicated process requiring a third-party device, such as a laptop or PC.

One of the newest Thecus products, the N2520 from Thecus Technology Corp., provides users with an solution for USB copying that requires the press of only a single button. Plug a USB flash drive into the front port and press the white button above the power on switch. All the files on the USB drive will then be backed up onto the NAS.

Meanwhile, Thecus Intelligent NAS helps to record the copy task and can display the ongoing transfers’ progress rate. With this help, user can manage and improve their backup policy.

For other Thecus NAS products, from 4-bay NAS devices to the TopTower series, USB copying is always supported. To backup the files on these units, choose USB Copy in the NAS’s control panel, and all data will be stored.
