Novastor Rolls Out Novabackup DataCenter 5.1

With NovaBACKUP
DataCenter 5.1, NovaStor Software AG
reduces the effort required to backup servers and increases data availability
for VMware VMs.

The version also offers support for
Exchange 2013 as well as SQL and Hyper-V cluster support. It is available from
NovaStor as well as through its enterprise
partners.

Protect hundreds of servers in a single step

The one-stop backup deployment enables
administrators to distribute a backup job to an unlimited number of servers
through a single administrative action. Changes are transmitted to all machines
under the job. This functionality reduces both work load and the probability of
user error, for the protection of multiple servers on the network.

Increased
VMware data availability through replication

It allows replication of VMware VMs to
another ESX or vCenter server. When replicating, any changes to the original are
transmitted to the copy at a definable time interval. The replication of VMs
reduces downtime to a matter of minutes. Once a VM fails, the replicated
machine can be started. By creating an additional replication of the machine – security and redundancy is restored.

Exchange and SQL 2013 and Hyper-V Cluster Support

The company is developing its backup software
to support the use of current backup strategies and technologies. The update
supports Exchange 2013 backup and restore. In addition, it simplifies the
management of backup jobs for SQL and Hyper-V clusters with a consolidated
management view. A single visual reference for the cluster eliminates the need
to view and manage each cluster component individually. Further optimizations
facilitate the reporting and monitoring of enterprise-wide backups.
