Mike Klayko Board’s Director, Virident

Virident Systems Inc. announced that Michael Klayko, former Brocade CEO and current CEO of MKA Capital LLC, has joined the company’s board of directors.

He brings more than 30 years of strategic management and technology industry experience to Virident’s board.
 
"Virident has a tremendous market opportunity as flash storage becomes more pervasive in the datacenter," said Klayko. "The company is capitalizing on this and has assembled an impressive management team and group of strategic investors. I believe their technology approach of implementing flash storage on the server-side is disruptive and will go far in winning new customers.  Prior to joining MKA Capital LLC, Klayko was with Brocade for 10 years, filling many roles including VP of OEM sales, VP of WW marketing and support, VP of WW sales and CEO. Before Brocade, he was CEO and president of Rhapsody Networks, a privately held technology company acquired by Brocade in 2002. He also served as EVP of McDATA Corporation and SVP for North American sales at EMC Corporation; in addition he has held various executive sales and marketing positions at Hewlett-Packard Company and IBM Corporation.

He is or was a director of PMC Sierra, Inc., and on the board of Allscripts, Egnyte, Skyera, and Genmark Automation.

Klayko holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Ohio Institute of Technology.
