Last three years HP director of R&D for NAS group

Stephenson’s experience in storage and file systems gives additional executive power to Avere’s tested team under the leadership of president and CEO Ron Bianchini. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading all of the engineering efforts for the company.

Stephenson brings expertise and knowledge in both storage and in building engineering organizations that can scale with company growth. He spent the last three years at HP as director of R&D for the company’s NAS group with responsibility for the development and integration of scale-out NAS solutions based on acquired technology (Ibrix). Prior to HP, he spent ten years as VP of engineering at Panasas. He also spent time in his career at Transarc and IBM.
Stephenson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
