Gladinet Announces Web Applications for Cloud Storage

Gladinet
Inc. announced web application integration for
Gladinet cloud storage which allows users to open and modify cloud
documents using any web browser.

The ability to edit documents with web
applications from Zoho and Microsoft Office Web Apps make the
platform more compelling. The company offers Gladinet cloud
enterprise which gives service providers a self-hosted, brandable
dropbox alternative.

Gladinet’s CEO, Jerry Huang, stated: "We
are pleased to provide our users with the convenience of web
application integration. They are no longer required to download
native applications for every document type that they want use.
Instead, they can use their web browsers to update any document that
has an associated web application. It also means that they can avoid
the download-modify-upload cycle, if they prefer to edit the document
in-place."

presented many enterprises with the challenge of accommodating the
access needs of employees with mobile devices. Their employees have
become accustomed to the convenience of public cloud storage while
their IT departments are more comfortable with the control and
security of on premise infrastructure. Gladinet bridges

Founded in 2008, Gladinet is a growing company, with the number of people who have downloaded its cloud storage access software approaching 2 million. It provides a Dropbox alternative that can be  deployed privately for enterprises and service providers.

Partners include Google, EMC, and HP. And its software powers the Nuance Cloud Connector, which converts documents stored in Google Docs, Box.net, Amazon S3 and others.
