ExaGrid and CA Team Up

CA Technologies (CA, Inc.) and ExaGrid Systems, Inc. announced an agreement
to provide SMBs with
quicker, more efficient backup and recovery for both physical and virtual
servers.

The companies have teamed up to deliver a customised solution – which pairs CA
ARCserve D2D image-based backup and recovery software and ExaGrid disk storage
and deduplication appliance hardware – that helps slash storage requirements
and related costs while shortening backup windows, speeding recovery, and
delivering more reliable offsite DR.

Most IT organisations face challenges backing up complex
heterogeneous environments that combine virtual and physical environments. The
combination of ARCserve D2D and ExaGrid provides a cost-effective
solution for these challenges and an alternative to slower tape devices
– delivering fast backup and recovery and post-process deduplication to
meet resource constraints without affecting backup performance.

The ARCserve D2D software and ExaGrid disk storage appliances are available through
authorised resellers and service providers.
