The 4-bay
TeraStation 4400 (TS4400) enclosure device offers customisable NAS storage,
enabling businesses to add up to four 1, 2, 3 or 4TB 3.5" HDDs as and when
they need it. The device comes packed with 2GB of DDR3 memory installed
and provides high-speed data transfers and file access from multiple computers,
via its Atom D2550 dual-core processor.
The line provides business
features, including IP camera recording direct to the device and the Buffalo surveillance video
manager, powered by SolaraTec
Phoenix software.
It also offers businesses simultaneous NAS
and iSCSI target functionality. Other business benefits include AD support, a simple-to-use interface and rich backup
features such as failover, replication, scheduled backup options and 10 free NovaStor NovaBACKUP
licenses.
When populated with two or more drives, it protects
users’ data with RAID, and its hot swap functionality enables users to change
disks without suffering downtime.
Paul, sales director for Northern
Europe, Buffalo, said: "This high performance product combines NAS and iSCSI enclosure
technology with scalable capacity. It offers hugely powerful storage options
for SMBs. The beauty of the Enclosure device is that it enables companies to
add or remove data capacity as their storage and backup requirements grow."
The NAS comes pre-packed with two GbE
ports, two USB 3.0 ports and USB 2.0 ports. It also features Buffalo’s WebAccess app,
which enables remote access to files via iOS, Android and Windows devices.
It is available from Buffalo’s
UK
distributors at an MSRP of £419.99.
All HDDs are sold separately.
