Open-E
Inc. announced that its product, Open-E Storage Software DSS V7
has been verified as Citrix Ready.
The program helps customers identify
third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization,
networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix. V7
completed a verification process to ensure compatibility with
Xenserver, providing confidence in joint solution compatibility.
It makes it easy for customers to
identify complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix
environments. Open-E DSS V7 has passed a series of tests established
by Citrix, and can be trusted to work with Xenserver in order to
guarantee performance and stable and secure storage available
through SAN and NAS protocols.
V7 is a unified
file and block-level storage management OS, providing support for
multiple 1GbE, 10GbE, FC and IB network interfaces. It offers NAS,
iSCSI and FC (both target and initiator) functionality in a single
application.
It’s designed for simplicity as
demanded by SMB users, along with features required by enterprise
users. These features include solutions such as the active-active
failover for iSCSI volumes in HA clusters, remote replication for DR
and multiple scheduled snapshots for data protection.
"As a member of the Citrix
Ready Program, we are able to offer customers intelligent solutions
that combine Open-E DSS V7 with Xenserver," said Krzysztof
Franek, CEO and president, Open-E. "The offering clearly
demonstrates our plans to work closely with trusted partners, through
the Citrix Ready partner ecosystem, in order to provide the highest
quality experience for our customers."
