Kaminario, Inc. announced the availability of its Performance Consistency Guarantee, which ensures that during a system failure, the overall performance degradation customers experience will never exceed 25%, as compared to industry standards that regularly exceed 80%. It also announced its Flash Endurance Booster, a seven-year flash endurance warranty that extends 2-4 years beyond other solutions in the storage industry.

These new programs demonstrate Kaminario’s commitment to providing enterprise resiliency and underscore the consistency, predictability and availability that Kaminario’s scale-out architecture provides.

Consistency Guarantee possible include:

• No Single Point of Failure: All system components are fully redundant. Kaminario’s K2 all-flash storage array recognizes a hardware or software failure and automatically performs a failover to a healthy one.
• Workload Performance Levels: While Kaminario guarantees no more than 25% performance degradation during a system failure, the performance levels of customers have been minimally impacted, usually less than 10%.
• Data Integrity Through Any Type of Failure: Kaminario automatically detects failures, initiates a self-healing process and manages the dynamic N-cluster re-configuration.

Flash Endurance Booster possible because of
its scale-out architecture, based on:

• System-Wide Write Cache: Kaminario minimizes writes to the flash media using a system-wide write cache, distributing writes across all flash media in the system.
• Metadata Management: Kaminario eliminates writes during updates, facilitating snapshots that don’t incur additional writes.
• Log Structure: Kaminario uses a log structure array (LSA) to optimally write to flash with the lowest write amplification in the industry.
