Cirrity Launching vStream, Powered by Zerto
DR as a service solution automating real-time DR to cloud
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 1, 2013 at 2:46 pmCirrity LLC, a secure and compliant cloud services provider, has launched vStream to help companies protect their valuable corporate resource, their data.
vStream is a DR as a Service (DRaaS) solution that automates real-time DR to the cloud.
The vStream hypervisor-based solution combines near-continuous replication with block-level, application-consistent data protection across hosts and storage. It allows businesses to cost-effectively protect production applications both to the cloud and in the cloud. Scalable and easy to manage, it allows organizations to securely and cost-effectively meet regulatory and compliance guidelines.
"DR to the cloud serves as a more effective alternative to in-house DR sites and is considered by many enterprises as a natural first step in the journey to the cloud," says Andrew Albrecht, COO, Cirrity. "With Cirrity, there is no need to worry about compliance and security, allowing a wide range of businesses to leverage their existing virtualized environments and implement a real-time DR plan. The advantages offered by vStream include a cost-effective choice for businesses that need to ensure their data is completely safe and readily available should a system failure take place – even if it’s only for a few minutes."
vStream offers RPO ins and RTO in minutes. The service eliminates the need to match storage-to-storage hardware; any type of storage can be replicated to the Cirrity cloud sites in Atlanta, GA or Phoenix, AZA.
Powering vStream is Zerto Inc.‘s patent-pending Virtual Replication technology. Zerto’s solution is made up of two components: The Zerto Virtual Manager which plugs directly into VMware’s vCenter and manages replication for the vSphere domain, and Zerto’s Virtual Replication Appliance, a single software-based VRA that is installed on each host and is capable of protecting all the VMs on that host.
"Cirrity hosts vStream on a secure and compliant cloud infrastructure that is built on enterprise hardware," explains Dan Timko, president and CTO, Cirrity. "vStream employs leading edge technology, however the system we have created is easy to manage, and we remove all of the headaches from implementation. SMB and enterprise end users will find a new tab in their vCenter management portal that provides easy access to the vStream product."
