Tegile Arrays Available Through Promark GSA

To customers in public sector

Tegile Systems, Inc. announced
that its Zebi line of hybrid storage arrays are available through Promark Technology‘s General Services
Administration (GSA) schedule to customers in the public sector.

VARs and system integrators can now leverage Promark’s two-tier distribution channel
to resell Zebi storage arrays to federal, state and local government
customers even if they do not hold a GSA contract of their own, empowering them
with the opportunity to fulfill government orders they may not otherwise have
been qualified to provide.

"Having the Zebi storage arrays
available on our GSA Schedule is very beneficial for both Promark and Tegile
Systems,
" said Dale Foster, GM, Promark, "The GSA procurement process will open up a lot of opportunities within
the public sector for both organizations.
"

GSA schedules serve as the catalyst for billions of dollars in federal spending
by helping government employees purchase products and services through
pre-negotiated prices, terms and conditions. In addition to being on Promark′s GSA, Zebi arrays
are available through Promark′s commercial distribution channel.

"Whether public or private, all
organizations require a comprehensive and intelligent approach to their data
storage needs utilizing the best technological resources available on the
market today,
" said David Steward, founder and chairman, World Wide Technology Inc. "Tegile Zebi arrays, with their ability to
deliver the performance, capacity and cost benefits needed for today’s
increasingly virtualized storage environments, are among the best.  By
being included in Promark’s GSA offerings, the process of fulfilling and
implementing Tegile at government organizations is streamlined and simplified,
meaning that we can solve our customers’ data challenges quickly.
"

Zebi arrays leverage the performance of SSD and low cost per TB of high
capacity disk drives to deliver up to seven times the performance and up to 75%
less capacity required than legacy arrays. Zebi hybrid arrays combine Tegile’s
patent-pending MASS technology with DRAM, solid state
flash, Xeon processors and Ethernet or FC, resulting in higher
capacity and performance. Maximizing capacity, on-the-fly de-duplication
and data compression enable more hosted virtual desktops for a lower investment
in storage and network infrastructure.

"We are dedicated to providing Zebi
storage arrays to the widest breadth of customers possible by partnering with
resellers who are experts in their respective marketplaces,
" said Rob
Commins, VP of marketing, Tegile. "Since our announcement in April that we were partnering with Promark,
we’ve received a lot of interest from those in our reseller community as to
when they’ll be able to leverage the GSA schedule for additional opportunities
to sell to government agencies. That time has come and we are excited
about maximizing the reach of our next-generation enterprise storage arrays to
customers required to utilize the GSA for their technology procurement.
