Intuate Group, a privately-owned,
broad-based IT company, has been appointed as a Gold Partner in Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS) TruNorth
partner programme.
"As a Gold Partner, Intuate Group
essentially acts as an extension of HDS and can market any of our solutions to
the local marketplace, a capability that enables the company to build, enhance
and expand existing storage solutions in terms of hardware, software and
services," says Vic Booysen, channel director for sub-Saharan and
South Africa at HDS.
"Intuate Group will undergo an official accreditation and certification process
with HDS, enabling it to further develop its skill set and provide a wide range
of consultative selling and support services to its existing customer base, as
well as growing into the market through the acquisition of new HDS accounts", he
continues.
A beneficial partner programme With the recent Hitachi TrueNorth partner
programme enhancements, Intuate will benefit in the following areas:
-
Real-time 24/7 access to the same global set of tools, best practices, manuals
and services as accessed by HDS employees, under a single-access framework. -
Up-to-date training programmes to achieve accreditations and certifications in
chosen areas of expertise. -
A new global partner reward structure, which includes incentive
rebates, based on achieved competencies.
David Jones, executive at Intuate Group, said: "What differentiates HDS is its holistic, yet simple approach to the
entire storage hierarchy, with a complete environment providing an improved
information storage solution to clients at a reduced cost of ownership."
According to Jones, given the wide range of hardware and software used by local
businesses, it is important that Intuate can offer a solution that
integrates easily with this diversity, thereby protecting its clients’ existing
infrastructure investments.
"As storage needs grow, and do so
quickly, so too does the need to manage this rapid demand properly and optimise
the intelligent storage and retrieval of data," he concludes.
