Chaired by Merike Kaeo, board members include Patrik Fältström, Rainer Gerhards, Jason Hoffman, Helger Lipmaa and Philippe Nicolas.
The advisory board will serve to provide strategic guidance on the company’s corporate vision, partnering strategy, open source community and technology innovations.

Merike Kaeo (Chair): Security evangelist at IID, leading the company’s information sharing and collaboration partnerships. he participates in key government and Internet policy meetings, having contributed to the US Federal Communication Commission’s Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council and been appointed to the ICANN Security and Stability Advisory Council. Prior to joining IID, he was responsible for the overall data security and services strategy at the Internet Systems Consortium.
Patrik Fältström (Networking): Chair of the Security and Stability Advisory Committee at ICANN and head of R&D at Netnod. he is an advisor to the IT Minister of Sweden and chair of the board of the Swedish Network Users Society. He has for many years been active in Internet Standardization. By being a participant and appointment to the leadership of international organizations like ISOC, IETF, and RIPE.
Rainer Gerhards (Logging): Chief software engineer at Adiscon GmbH and author of the rsyslog logging daemon, currently the de facto standard for logging on Linux. He has over 20 years experience in logging, having led the IETF standardization effort culminating in syslog RFC 5424.
Jason Hoffman (Scalable systems): CTO and founder of Joyent, the high performance cloud infrastructure company where he is responsible for company vision and execution. He taught at the university level for more than a decade, is a speaker and author and an expert on scalable systems.
Helger Lipmaa (Cryptography): Senior researcher at the University of Tartu where his main research interest is the design of efficient yet provably secure cryptographic protocols. Previously he was a professor at Helsinki University of Technology and has over 15 years experience in cryptographic research.
Philippe Nicolas (Storage): Director of product strategy at Scality, he is a storage industry expert with 20 years of experience having occupied various positions at Condor Consulting Group, KerStor, Brocade, Symantec, Veritas, SGI and Compaq. He received in 2005 the Outstanding Service Award, from the SNIA Europe, for his industry and association contribution and is a founding member of SNIA Cloud Storage Initiative.
