HDD with improved exiting regions for electrical connectors

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "A HDD drive of the invention comprises a housing comprising a base and a cover; at least one disk for storage of data within the housing; an actuator for reading and recording of the data on the at least one disk; and an electrical connector extending through an exiting portion of the base. The exiting portion comprises a recessed portion within the base providing an enlarged opening through which the electrical connector may exit the HDD drive without direct constraint by the base. The electrical connector also provides electrical contact between electronics external to the housing and one or more component within the HDD drive."
