Conduant Announcing Rugged LTXe Storage Array

1U, 16 HDDs or SSDs, starts at $7,995

Conduant Corporation, in long-duration high-speed recording and playback systems, introduced the LTXe Storage Array for high-capacity, high-density storage in a compact form factor.

The LTXe facilitates modular expansion of disk storage via cabled PCIe and features heater, DC power and rugged options for extreme and specialized environments.

The array is available in a 1U, 20" deep rack mount chassis. It supports up to 16 1TB 2.5" SATA HDDs or 16 SSDs with 2TB drives available.

A powered cable connector provides attachment to the host using commercially available iPass connectors with integrated copper/optical converters for operation over long distances. The optional heater feature enables operation at otherwise prohibitively low temperatures. The DC power option can be used for aircraft or vehicle installations. Its rugged version is designed to meet the military standard 810G (MIL-STD-810G).

Conduant founder and CEO, Ken Owens stated: "That while we are a leader in the industry with our StreamStor high-speed peer-to-peer and direct-to-disk recording and playback solutions, Conduant is expanding its product offerings to include exceptional performance and capacity for more traditional file-based storage operations. Now we can accommodate customers who demand a high-density footprint, including heater support and DC power supplies, if required. If and when customer performance requirements change, they can always upgrade to StreamStor for reliable sustained data streaming performance."

Additional Features

  • The PCIe cabling accommodates 8 lanes, Gen 2, with data rates up to 5Gb/s per lane. It provides high-speed connectivity to a host computer for command/control and data recording and access.
  • Cabled PCIe can be used to connect nearly any computing architecture such PCIe, SMC, VME, VPX, BXS, AMC or other mezzanine/back-plane environments.
  • Offers scalable storage capacities up to 32TB.
  • There is support for Windows and Linux OSs.

Pricing for the LTXe Storage Array starts at $7,995. Units are available with a 60-day lead time.
