Greg Goelz CEO, CloudByte

Former SanDisk GM of enterprise storage solutions

CloudByte, Inc. announced the appointment of Greg Goelz as CEO.

goelz_cloudbyte The former SanDisk Corporation executive brings more than 25 years of experience as a sales and marketing executive, with a track record in building worldwide teams and strategic partnerships, as well as growing revenues for data storage companies.
 
At SanDisk, he was GM of the enterprise storage solutions (ESS) business unit. He joined SanDisk via the Pliant Technology acquisition and was instrumental in the sale and integration of Pliant’s enterprise solid state technology. While at SanDisk, he also led the acquisition and integration of FlashSoft and Schooner Information Technology into ESS. He has held executive-level global sales and marketing positions at both startups and Fortune 500 companies such as SGI, Iomega, and Conner Peripherals.

Greg holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.
 
Srivibhavan Balaram, CloudByte founder and initial CEO, has led CloudByte since its inception in June 2011. Going forward, he will lead the company’s AsiaPac and European business operations as COO.
