Qualstar Corporation announced that as part of its strategy to grow its distribution
channels worldwide, it has added three new sales partners: Alteran
Technologies, Maxx Digital and Videotape Products, Inc. (VTP).
These new authorized

Alteran Technologies develops workflow solutions for large-scale media

with disk and software.
Finally, VTP, a provider for high-end audio & video
professionals, will sell Qualstar’s library products into media, entertainment
and broadcasting verticals as part of a total storage solution specializing in
archival applications.
"The advancement of digital
technologies, content digitzation, HD programming and distribution is driving
the exponential growth of data in media and entertainment," said Larry
Firestone, president and CEO of Qualstar. "Consequently, content producers and broadcasters need to handle more
data and store larger files. Increasingly, they are relying on archive and
storage solutions such as Qualstar’s tape storage technologies, which are
creating a new benchmark for data integrity and reliability."
