This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 27, 2013 at 2:58 pmScale Computing, Inc. announced that Vanessa Alvarez has joined the company as head of marketing.
"As an analyst I looked at the convergence happening in server, storage and networking," said Alvarez. "What I saw in Scale was the first integrated solution designed for virtualization. The HC3 system delivers a tremendously compelling cost/performance value proposition and breakthrough technology based on commodity components."
Built from the ground up, HC3 eliminates the need for expensive VMware licenses and complex SANs from Dell, HP or EMC from virtualized environments.
"The industry is undergoing a transformation, and we’re at an inflection point where the way in which infrastructure is managed and deployed is drastically changing. Simplifying IT is fundamental for organizations to remain competitive. Optimizing IT and lowering TCO is crucial, and I believe this is the killer mix lacking in the market today. The industry needs solutions that can deliver simplicity, availability and scalability all in one."
"Hundreds of customers have voted on Scale by adopting HC3 in a matter of a few months," said Jeff Ready, CEO, Scale. "We are excited to have Vanessa on board to further accelerate our momentum as more and more IT organizations learn about our HA, extreme ease of use, and groundbreaking low cost to market."
Alvarez will be responsible for leading the development of the company’s brand, positioning and demand generation. She has spent the last nine years as an analyst, with firms such as The Yankee Group and Forrester Research. She comes with expertise in enterprise data center technologies and industry perspective. Most recently, she was director of product marketing for Gridstore, a software defined storage company where she executed the company’s go to market strategy.
