Corus360 Introduces Cloud-Based Backup

Vault360, compatible with Windows, Linux and IBM AIX and i

Corus360
(Corus Group LLC), an Atlanta-based technology solutions firm, announced their Vault360 offering.

It
allows customers to backup their systems over the Internet or private
network to cloud-based storage. Customers can recover to one of the
company’s locations or to another location of their own choosing.
Some of the OSs supported include Windows, Linux, IBM AIX and IBM i.
Certain companies run the Vault360 from Corus360’s PowerCloud360,
while others run it from systems located at their facilities.

It
uses de-dupe and encryption technologies to provide data transfer. The
interface allows administrators to restore files without having to
locate tapes, wait for them to be delivered, and mount them on a
device. This
solution reduces costs by minimizing the need for tape, which in turn
lessens the degree of management and offsite storage requirements for
tape. The reduced management of backup resources allows
administrators to focus on other tasks.

"This
solution is another example of how Corus360 is helping our customers
drive costs out of their business and provide value to them as a
partner,
"
said Steve Johnson, president of Corus360.
