Information, Inc. showcased the capabilities of its 1000x
CompactFlash card designed to meet the demands of professional
photographers and DSLR filmmakers.

When used with digital SLR cameras and
camcorders, including the Nikon D4, the Sony Alpha 700, the Olympus
E-5, and the Canon EOS C500 and EOS-1D C Cinema EOS series DSLR
cameras, the cards are tailored for capturing high-resolution image
data and recording up to 4k U-HD video content.

There is interest from independent
filmmakers in using midrange to professional-series DSLR cameras for
shooting movies due to their recording capabilities, compact size and
affordability. These digital devices usually feature an image
processor which requires a high-speed memory card to optimize
shooting performance.

The series 1000x CF cards implement the
CompactFlash revision 6.0 specification and operate in Ultra DMA
transfer mode 7, the fast interface speed available for CF cards.
Compliant with the Video Performance Guarantee and boasting fast R/W
transfer rates of up to 160MB/120MB per second, these cards are
tailored for fast-action burst mode shooting and professional-quality
video capture.

In addition to transfer rates, the
cards are available up to 128GB, eliminating the need to pause and
switch memory cards during video recording sessions. To assure
durability and performance, the cards are manufactured using quality
toggle mode NAND flash memory chips. Moreover, each card contains
built-in BCH ECC technology with read-retry for detecting and
correcting errors during data transfer.
