Leveraging his understanding of desktop virtualization customer needs, he joins the executive management team at GreenBytes to further refine the company’s IO-Offload product offerings.
In 2010, Richtberg joined Dell’s newly created best value solutions team to define and execute a next generation end user computing strategy for a complete offering designed to simplify and accelerate the adoption of mobile and alternative virtual desktop computing. In 2012, this strategic framework resulted in one of the largest desktop virtualization mergers via the acquisition of Wyse, provider of cloud client computing solutions to transform and diversify Dell’s end user computing solutions into a new multi-billion dollar revenue stream. The resulting team effort created a combination of business relationships for an integrated software, datacenter infrastructure, desktops, mobility, and cloud services solution set. "Enabling users to experience a true Personal Computing experience with all of the individual preferences we expect to make our desktops productive shouldn’t be optional, yet many customers have to choose flexibility over affordability," said Richtberg. "Cost optimization and systems management simplicity shouldn’t be a trade-off when choosing a virtualized architecture. I am very pleased to be joining GreenBytes as the product champion for virtualized storage infrastructure that keeps the ‘personal’ in virtual desktops."
"I am delighted to welcome our new VP, product management, Michael Richtberg, to the GreenBytes executive team," said Steve O’Donnell, CEO, GreenBytes. "Our ability to attract world-class professionals is critical to our success and Michael is widely recognized as one of the top people in the virtualization space.
