Becrypt Provides Disk Protect for Samsung ATIV Computers

Becrypt
Inc. announced a collaboration with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

The company has teamed up with Samsung
to provide its DISK protect full disk encryption solution running on
the Samsung
ATIV Smart PC Pro. This will provide secure, Windows 8 touch
based Smart PC for joint customers in commercial environments.

The ATIV, combining the power of a
notebook PC and the convenience of a tablet PC, will include
on-screen, touch friendly pre-boot authentication, enabling users to
login/authenticate before the main OS is booted, avoiding the issue
of authenticating after a machine may already be compromised.

Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of Wick Hill Ltd.,

Becrypt DISK Protect is available in
several different accredited versions allowing Windows 8 and tablet
support up to Impact Level 4 (confidential). This also includes the
CESG Commercial Product Assurance version which protects information
without the use of government key material, reducing support and cost
overheads for public sector organisations and those that require a
government assured solution.

The computer provides computing power
with Windows 8 featuring a detachable keyboard-docking system that
allows users to switch between a clamshell notebook PC and a tablet
PC. In addition to a 10-finger multi touch screen, it is equipped
with the renowned S-Pen, delivering writing and drawing experience
for maximum productivity. ATIV Smart PC Pro’s Intel Core i5
processor can handle professional use and multimedia consumption.

DISK Protect Windows 8 provide USB
encryption, single sign-on options and it can be managed centrally
using Becrypt Enterprise Manager, meaning that it can be deployed to
1000’s of devices (desktops, laptops and tablets) in a matter of
hours.
