40% Y/Y Growth for PHD Virtual in 1Q13

Earlier this month, the company announced the acquisition of VirtualSharp Software, in automated DR assurance solutions for virtualized environments and private and public clouds – accelerating PHD’s growth platform in the DR marketplace.

PHD milestones this quarter include:
- Recorded 40% Y/Y revenue growth with more than 1,000 transactions
- Increased average deal size by 20%
- Rounded out DR offerings with VirtualSharp acquisition
- Achieved record revenue and growth rate
- Released new PHD Virtual Backup version 6.2 with cloud backup capabilities
- Raised $4M in series C funding and debt financing
- Achieved record number of web site visitors with almost 100,000
- Signed on new distributors including Condre Storage (US), Prianto (Germany) and Soft Solutions (New Zealand)
With the acquisition of VirtualSharp, the firm delivers transformational technology for virtual backup and DR assurance providing an easy and affordable solutions for data protection and BC, automatically certifying achievement of;RTOs and RPOs.
This past quarter, PHD launched Virtual 6.2 CloudHook, a solution offering local VM backup capabilities, as well as a seamless link to public or private cloud storage for offsite backups. The latest release of Virtual Backup and Replication includes a module for virtual backup to the cloud making it easy and affordable for SMB to backup and recover data to and from the cloud at the touch of a button.
